Amy’s debut Album “This Is the Life” was released on July 30th 2007 and reached first position in the UK albums chart on January 13th 2008. In March 2008 the album had already been sold in more than 600 000 copies in the United Kingdom and has been rewarded Platinum twice.
The single “Poison Prince” was first released online on 7th May 2007 in a limited edition and re-released afterwards on 19th May 2008. The lyrics were inspired by Pete Doherty, the man whom had inspired young Amy to pursuit the singing career.

The next single “Mr. Rock and Roll” was released on July 16th 2007 and was her first full single and a real success debuting as #12 in the UK charts. The song appeared on the BBC 2008 Olympics.

In October 2007 is released the single “L.A.” that reaches only #48 in the United Kingdom.

“This Is the Life” single follows soon, on December 10th 2007 in United Kingdom and April 2008 in Europe, and it becomes a successful song across the world. It is considered to be Amy’s most successful song to date.

On 3rd March is released Amy’s fifth single “Run”, a song that was inspired by The Killers.

The album also contains three cover songs: “Caledonia”, “Fairytale of New York” and “Mr. Brightside”.
